Job Description


Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist - Dover, NH
Pay: $22–$25/hr
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM (Occasional OT available when needed)
Start Date: Immediate opening!
 
We’re hiring a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join a strong, close-knit accounting team supporting the Northeast and Chicago regions. This is an on-site position with growth potential—ideal for someone looking to take ownership of AP processes and expand their role as they get acclimated. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports
  • Handle weekly payment runs (check, ACH, wire)
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain and update vendor records (W-9s, tax info)
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure approvals and accurate documentation
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Look for opportunities to improve AP processes
     
Requirements:
  • 2+ years in Accounts Payable or general accounting
  • High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
     
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a shared services or high-volume AP environment
  • Knowledge of 1099 reporting and sales/use tax
  • ERP system experience
  • Background in manufacturing
