Experience Required
Duties and Responsibilities for Assistant Property Manager :

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in multifamily property management; affordable housing/property management experience is strongly preferred.

Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Mathematics: Solid mathematical aptitude for handling budgets, rent calculations, and financial reporting.

Technology: Proficient with general computer use, internet navigation, and property management software; willingness to learn new systems as required.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Training Compliance: Able to complete all required training within specified deadlines and participate in ongoing training sessions.

Transportation (Preferred): Access to a reliable, insured vehicle for business use and a valid driver’s license.

Skills and Qualifications for Assistant Property Manager :

Support the Community Manager in ensuring all property operations meet or exceed company standards and property management obligations.

Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing, Landlord-Tenant regulations, and OSHA guidelines.

Oversee rent collection and revenue documentation in alignment with tenant leases and company policies; assist with delinquency follow-up and rent roll accuracy.

Ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements through timely and accurate resident income certifications and recertifications.

Facilitate resident move-ins and move-outs, including all associated documentation.

Assist with leasing operations: conduct property tours, complete guest cards, maintain the property waitlist, follow up with applicants, and support marketing efforts.

Review tenant billing, analyze lease terms, and maintain accurate reporting on vacancies, leasing traffic, and property performance.

Process purchase orders, vendor invoices, and property expenses in Yardi Voyager per Community Manager’s direction.

Coordinate with maintenance staff to manage service requests, inspect units and common areas, and oversee vendor work schedules and quality.

Safeguard resident, property, and company information in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.

Track work hours daily and ensure proper timekeeping practices across site staff.

Collaborate with corporate departments and on-site teams to ensure a unified and efficient management approach.

Foster strong working relationships with coworkers and other departments, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Proactively seek improvements to processes, systems, and service delivery in line with company objectives and resident satisfaction.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Manager or Portfolio Manager.
