Job Title: CNC Machinist and Programmer Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $30-$45/hour - DOE 
Hours: 6AM-4:30PM Mon-Thurs
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a CNC Machinist and Programmer for a Direct-Hire position with our client, a reputable metal forgery, located in Albany, Oregon. The CNC Machinist will play an essential role in setting up and operating a variety of milling machines and lathes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on their feet all day. As a CNC Machinist and Programmer, you will be responsible for:
  • Setting up and operating manual lathes, mills, and surface grinders
  • Ensuring maximum production output rates are being achieved and submitting recommendations to increase efficiencies 
  • Developing, preparing, and optimizing CNC programs
  • Proofing CNC programs for each planned operation through simulation or tests 
  • Training and instructing CNC machinists on program operation 
  • Understanding feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cuts 
  • Using precision measuring hand tools to ensure parts meet specifications 
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines and lathes 
  • Proficiency in MasterCAM
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and specification 
  • Experience programming and maintaining setup on machines
  • Strong knowledge of metal properties
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs consistently and stand for long periods.
  • Proficiency in shop math
