Fiber Optic Splicer – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $23–$32/hr
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

We are urgently seeking a Fiber Optic Splicer for a full-time role with a fast-growing telecommunications company located near Poland, Maine. These roles have been open for several months, and the employer is eager to bring the right candidates on board immediately. No prior splicing experience is required—just the right attitude and mechanical aptitude.

This position is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in:
  • Construction
  • IT/Technical Support
  • Electrical or Plumbing
  • Any field requiring mechanical or technical ability

This is a hands-on, field-based role that begins each day at the company’s regional hub in Poland, ME.

As a Fiber Optic Splicer, you will:
  • Prep and splice various fiber cables including OSP, ADSS & OPGW
  • Use OTDR, power meter testing, and fiber identifiers to verify integrity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently
  • Maintain safety and quality standards
  • Submit daily performance reports and track field asset usage


You may be a great fit if you have:
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 2 years of splicing experience preferred (but not required—we will train!)
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel overnight during the week as needed
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background, and MVR check
