Job Title: General Labor Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $22.63/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 4:00PM
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a General Laborer for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable lumber mill that supplies high-quality Doug Fir dimensional lumber located in Eugene, Oregon.
The General Laborer will play an essential role in the hands on processing of dimensional lumber.  The ideal candidate will maintain an organized and safe environment while actively contributing to the efficient processing of lumber products.

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for:
  • Check trays every 15 minutes to ensure that lumber has a proper and visual stamp.
  • Check trays every 15 minutes to ensure that lumber is straight and not crossed.
  • Watch Tower to prevent cross ups and hang ups.
  • Watch hand off wheel to ensure that lumber does not get crossed and/or tangled.
  • 2 x 2, 2 x 3, & 2 x 4 Have a tendency to hang up and/or cross up on skate wheels.
  • Watch for splits (Separation) in Trays
  • Pulling and sorting of all lumber production on Green Chain.
  • Tray Chaser will make sure all units are pulled into its designated load; size, length, grades, height and width.
  • Make sure stickers are properly located.
  • Tray Chaser will also make sure the Resaw is properly stacked into stable units
  • Clean up when needed
  • Help with slow spots in the Mill
  • Other Duties as assigned


The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Know and utilize all lock-out/tag-out procedures associated with your job duties.
  • When time allows, carry stickers, straighten loads, band units for forklift and clean up.
  • Downtime is clean-up and minor maintenance time.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift up to 50lbs
