Title: Sheet Metal Roofer Laborer 
Pay: $24 HR
Hours: Mon - Fri - 6:30 AM - 3:00 Must be willing to work overtime during the peak season
Start Date: 07/09/25

Duties and Responsibilities for a Sheet Metal Roofer Laborer
  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
  • Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets and Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks
  • Maneuver and anchor large sheet metal parts
  • Fasten seams or joints by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering
  • Measuring and cutting materials to ensure that they fit securely around vents, gutters, chimneys, and walls.
  • Smoothing out rough spots on roofs to prepare the surface for new shingles or waterproofing.
  • Replacing areas of clients’ roofs that are damaged or rotting.
  • Installing vapor barriers and insulation to create a more waterproof seal.
  • Safely setting up ladders, scaffolding and hoisting equipment as required.
  • Updating the supervisor on job progress and reporting any problems related to the job.
  • Safely transporting all required equipment and materials to job sites.

Skills and Qualifications for Sheet Metal Roofer Laborer:
  • Have EXCELLENT work ethic
  • Able to handle the physical nature of the job
  • Have Valid driver license and reliable transportation
  • Must be confident and able to work on roofs, ladders, and heights
  • Must be able to work with 50+ pounds repetitively throughout the day

 

Job Details for Sheet Metal Roofer laborer
  • Journeyman welcome but entry level $24 hr. to start
  • Mon - Friday - Summer hours 6:30 am - 3:00 - but can include O.T. During peek season. Must be willing to work overtime!
