Job Description


Helpmates is seeking an Entry-Level Blanchard Grinder Operator (Machining Industry). Great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the machining industry. Training is provided, no prior Blanchard grinding experience is required, just a willingness to learn, a mechanical mindset, and a strong work ethic.

Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30pm
Pay Rate: $18/hr. Depending on Experience and Knowledge

Job Duties: 
  • Operate and monitor a Blanchard (rotary surface) grinder to grind flat surfaces on metal work pieces.
  • Load and unload parts onto the machine using basic hand tools and lifting equipment.
  • Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, surface finish, and correct dimensions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, and shop orders.
  • Communicate with the team and supervisor regarding quality and production issues.

 

Experience:
  • Relevant experience is a PLUS 
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.

 

Education:
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent, Trade School is a plus.
  • Certification in machining,  or a related field is preferred.
