Job Title: Quality Control Level II
Pay: $20.00-$26.00
Hours: 11:00am-7:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control level II Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our client, a manufacturer located in Santa Fe Springs, CA! The Quality Control Technician is responsible for quality control related tasks, performing receiving inspection, in process and final inspection functions and the use of calibration of tools and equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all products and materials meet established quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, labels and finish goods to identify defects and non-conformances.
- Ability to use measurement equipment such as Micrometer, Calipers, and Rulers
- Review manufacturing work orders and verify accuracy of information presented
- Ensure all work order packets are complete, accurate and GDP compliant; make the necessary corrections as needed
- Performs mathematical calculations required to assist in completion of inspections and/or in-process monitoring.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
- Able to work independently, under some supervision.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- 4 to 5 years in Quality Control environment (in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or Aerospace environment is preferred).
- Ability to follow established inspection instruction and procedures with minimal supervision and applying the process and procedures to standard routine tasks
- Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, chars, diagrams, and sketches.
- Capable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasks
- Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues.
- Skilled at measuring and using test equipment such as pin gauges, calipers, rulers, and other necessary inspection tools.
- Able to have clear communication with production teams, management, and other departments to report quality concerns and progress.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environment. Require a strong sense of urgency, analytical problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of managing multiple complex tasks simultaneously while excelling as a team member and independent contributor.
- Proficient in computers with knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software such as ERP and E-QMS systems.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing practices and Good Documentation Practices.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and testing procedures. Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 17025 standards
