Job Title: Full Time Pharmacy Technicians needed
Location: Urbandale, Iowa
Salary: $21 - $25 per hour based on experience
Certifications: PTCB Certification (preferred but not required)

Environment: Long Term Care Pharmacy

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our employee-owned Long Term Care Pharmacy in Urbandale, Iowa. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in processing and filling prescriptions, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the efficient operation of our closed-door pharmacy. Training and development are a priority, with support available for those pursuing PTCB certification.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Process and accurately fill prescriptions within a closed-door pharmacy environment
  • Provide professional customer service and support to clients via telephone
  • Perform data entry tasks for patient and prescription information
  • Operate and maintain med-cup packaging systems for medication distribution

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong data entry skills
  • LTC experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and precision
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new systems and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
  • LTC experience preferred
  • PTCB certification (training provided if not certified)

Training and Development:
  • Comprehensive, paid pharmacy technician career training program
  • Study materials provided for PTCB certification
  • On-the-job practical experience and mentoring

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Rotating Saturday shifts: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Sundays and major holidays off
