Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Pay: $34–$36/hour (flexible based on qualifications)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day Shift)

As a General Ledger Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing financial accountability and ensuring the accuracy of our financial reports. You’ll work closely with the finance team to deliver results that directly support our organizational goals.

What You’ll Do:
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, including intercompany and general journals, to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reviewing cash receipts and accounts payable batches to ensure correct general ledger coding and timely posting.
  • Managing month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and distributing monthly financial statements and required reports in alignment with established deadlines.
  • Performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies that arise.
  • Serving as the primary accounting liaison for daily transactions, reporting, accounts payable, and cash receipts, providing essential support to the team.
  • Coordinating grant or restricted revenue recognition and tracking capital projects to ensure accurate accruals and reporting.
  • Providing training and guidance to operational staff on accounting policies and procedures for enhanced efficiency.
  • Assisting with internal and external audit preparations and supporting budget implementation, monitoring, and associated documentation.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management to support team objectives.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with a minimum of 24 semester units (or 30 quarter units) in accounting.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong hands-on background in general ledger management and financial reporting.
  • A solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with an adept ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Schedule:
