In this vital position, you'll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the campus facilities.

As a Sanitation Worker, you'll ensure that all areas are well-kept and sanitary, contributing to a healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors. You'll work closely with the Campus Planning and Facilities Management department to support daily operations and uphold the UofO's commitment to excellence.

What You’ll Do:
As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing industrial sanitation of carpet and hard floor maintenance using specialized equipment.
  • Operating floor scrubbers and carpet steamers to ensure pristine cleanliness.
  • Conducting basic cleaning tasks in and around the facility or office building, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in common areas and restrooms, including sanitization and restocking supplies.
  • Emptying trash bins and ensuring the removal of any rubbish on site for optimal hygiene.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Prior experience in cleanup or sanitation preferred.
  • The ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.
  • Physical capability to bend, stoop, twist, squat, and crouch consistently throughout the shift.
