Machinist III
Pay: $35.00–$40.00/hr DOE
Shift: Day Shift
Location: Lebanon, OR
Type: Full-Time
Our client is a respected manufacturer known for high-quality production standards and a commitment to precision. They are seeking an experienced Machinist III who can both program and operate CNC machinery, bridging the gap between engineering and production.
This role is ideal for a true hands-on machinist who is comfortable creating programs from drawings and running the machines on the floor.
What You’ll Do

Machine high-quality parts using engineered drawings or verbal instruction

Create CNC programs using Mastercam or similar software (AutoCAD, etc.)

Produce 3D models, wireframe drawings, and tool paths used for programming

Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs at the machine and offline

Set up, operate, and run CNC machines including loading tools, fixtures, and materials
-
Operate conventional lathes, mills, large planer mills, and CNC equipment
-
Perform precision equipment rebuilding and troubleshooting

Organize drawings, tooling, and machine setups to support efficient workflow
-
Maintain tooling inventory and ensure proper availability
-
Coordinate with the Shop Supervisor on scheduling and production priorities
-
Communicate with Engineering to determine the most efficient project approach
-
Complete quality control documentation and perform test fitting
-
Train employees on CNC programming, machine operation, workflow, and quality standards
-
Meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
-
Work independently and collaboratively within the shop environment
What You Bring
-
5+ years of machining experience required (5–7 years preferred)
-
Proven ability to both program and operate CNC machines
-
Strong experience using Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software
-
Ability to create 3D drawings, wireframe drawings, and write production programs

Hands-on experience setting up machines and running parts from start to finish

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail, quality, and safety

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Proficient math and basic computer skills

Dependable, self-motivated, honest, and thorough work ethic

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

Must provide a complete machinist tool set
