What You'll Do
As a Sanitation Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing deep cleaning of critical transfer rooms, plant growth chambers, and other sensitive laboratory areas to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Executing daily cleaning routines including wet mopping, vacuuming, trash and recycle removal, and ensuring all tasks adhere to scheduled timelines.
  • Utilizing proper cleaning solutions, protective equipment, and techniques to prevent cross-contamination and uphold sanitary conditions.
  • Assisting the media preparation team with washing containers, disposing of waste, and handling facility laundry to support laboratory operations.
  • Unpacking inventory shipments and maintaining optimal stock levels of cleaning supplies, laboratory materials, and safety equipment.

What You'll Bring

  • Must have prior sanitation/custodial/janitorial experience
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions in English and keep organized workspaces.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role, including regular movement in a controlled indoor setting.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols, reliable attendance, and maintaining confidentiality of facility operations.
