Job Description

Job Title: Food Service Worker and cashier- Urgently Hiring
Pay: $19.64/hr
Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

We are seeking a Food Service Worker and cashier for a full-time position for our client, a major corporate office facility located in Portsmouth, NH. The Food Service Worker will primarily support the food service operation by handling cash/credit transactions and assisting with food preparation and service. The Food Service Worker ensures a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for customers and colleagues. This is a day shift opportunity located in Portsmouth, NH.

As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for:
  • Accurately operate a cash register/POS system to complete customer transactions
  • Set up and serve food from counters and steam tables
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, counters, and equipment
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Restock and maintain supplies and product levels throughout the shift
  • Assist with closing duties including cleaning and restocking
  • Support catering and retail operations as needed

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food service or cashier experience preferred
  • Basic math and cash handling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly, team-oriented, and customer-focused personality
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Slip-resistant shoes (required); black pants and a white polo shirt
