Job Description
apstone Search Advisors is searching for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a growing food manufacturing company based in Dallas, Texas. This leader will oversee all maintenance operations for a high-volume production facility, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the plant.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and experience maintaining equipment in a USDA- or FDA-regulated food production environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and reliability personnel.

Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment uptime and efficient workflow across production lines.

Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.

Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and OSHA requirements.

Monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance effectiveness.

Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including parts inventory and capital projects.

Collaborate with production, engineering, sanitation, safety, and quality teams to support plant goals.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and equipment performance.

Coordinate vendor relationships, equipment installations, and major repair activities.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation through the facility’s CMMS system.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in food manufacturing or a similar regulated industry.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance planning.

Solid understanding of food safety regulations (FDA/USDA), GMPs, and plant sanitation requirements.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong project management skills, including capital project execution.
Preferred Experience

Background with high-speed packaging, processing equipment, or cold-chain systems.

Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, or utilities management.

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
