Food Service Roles – Utility & Food Service Worker – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $18.00 – $19.84/hour
Hours: Multiple Shifts, Weekend Availability 
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary 

We are seeking Utility Workers and Food Service Workers for temporary positions at a dining facility in Orono, ME. These roles are essential in supporting kitchen and dining operations, ensuring meals are prepared, served, and enjoyed in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Open Roles:
Utility Worker

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and trash areas

  • Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries

  • Support staff to keep operations running smoothly

Food Service Worker

  • Assist with food preparation and meal service in dining halls

  • Provide friendly customer service to students, staff, and faculty

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas

  • Restock supplies and keep workstations organized
The ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in food service, custodial, or kitchen roles (preferred, not required)

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled

  • Teamwork, communication, and customer service skills

  • A reliable and flexible attitude in a fast-paced environment

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk for long periods
