Job Title: Maintenance Technician 2 Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $32-36/hour + $1.50/hr differential for graveyard
Hours: Full time: 10:00PM - 7:00AM 
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable food manufacturer located in Silverton, Oregon.
The Maintenance Technician 2 will play an essential role in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment. The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive and stays calm during pressure "line-down" situations.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment during production, especially during line-down situations
  • Performing preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Maintaining and repairing HVAC, basic plumbing, and building systems
  • Fabricating or welding as needed (MIG and TIG)
  • Assisting with equipment installations and improvements
  • Communicating clearly with production, sanitation, and management to ensure minimal disruption

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Able to read schematics and diagrams (electrical, pneumatic, etc.)
  • Experience with bakery or food processing equipment is a plus (e.g., Colborne, Baxter ovens, Vemag, Robot Coupe)
  • LME or other licensing is a plus, but we value skill and mindset over credentials, Requirements and Minimum Education Level
  • Ability to stand for full 8+ hour shifts with frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in tight spaces
