Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM (with on-call flexibility during plow season)

We're urgently hiring a Maintenance Technician in Augusta, ME, for a trusted facilities organization dedicated to excellence. In this essential position, you will support daily operations across multiple buildings, collaborating closely with the facilities management team to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing general building maintenance and servicing maintenance equipment to meet safety and operational standards.
  • Changing filters in HVAC systems and other building machinery to maintain optimal performance.
  • Operating snowplowing equipment during winter months to keep our properties accessible and safe.
  • Mowing lawns and maintaining grounds during the summer months, ensuring a well-kept appearance year-round.
  • Isolating complex maintenance problems and coordinating with external vendors for major repairs and solutions.
  • Traveling between various company buildings located from Winthrop to Augusta to provide responsive service.
  • Ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and safe for all occupants, contributing to a positive environment.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A strong background in maintenance or construction trades.
  • Mechanical skills and maintenance experience, demonstrating a reliable aptitude in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Location & Schedule:
