  Job Title: Production Assistant (Food Manufacturing) Pay: $17.50/hr Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (25 hours/week) Start Date: ASAP
 
Looking for a hands-on role with a consistent weekday schedule and no weekends? Join a growing commercial food production team as a Production Assistant in Belfast, Maine and make an impact every day. As a Production Assistant, you’ll ensure the highest quality and safety standards are met in the creation and packaging of bulk scone mixes. You’ll work closely with the production team to deliver premium products for commercial clients.

What You’ll Do: As a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Maintain a hygienic and sanitized workstation following strict food safety protocols.
  • Measure and load ingredients into bulk mixers to create proprietary scone mixes.
  • Operate bagging machinery and weigh ingredients precisely during the packaging process.
  • Prepare and package finished products for shipping in a commercial capacity.
  • Perform daily sanitation and cleaning of the station to ensure a sterile environment.


What You’ll Bring: The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Personal Characteristics: Extreme attention to hygiene (nails clipped/clean, hair up, beard covered, no earrings allowed) and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Any food-related certifications or experience with forklifts and pallet jacks are highly preferred.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift 50 lb bags of ingredients consistently and stand on cement floors for the duration of the shift.
