Fleet Mechanic Technician
Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm
Pay Rate:  $32-35/hr

This is a direct-hire opportunity for a local Portland company that is hiring through Selectemp Employment Services. This is NOT a temporary position.

As a Fleet Mechanic Technician you will be responsible for:
  • Diagnosing and the repair of light, medium and heavy duty vehicles
  • Performing D.O.T. inspections and lubrication services
  • Electrical and ability to assess a vehicles ability to operate experience required
  • Welding a plus but not mandatory
  • Experience with brakes, steering, suspension, engine and drive train repairs required

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Two year certificate from college or technical school; and/or 3-5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic computer, writing and communication skills
  • Valid OR or WA driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Practice good house keeping by keeping work area and equipment clean and organized
  • Interact with fellow teammates in a positive and respectful manner
  • Be reliable and punctual
