Job Title: Shop Mechanic
Pay: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour, DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Start Date: ASAP

As a Shop Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic components found on heavy machinery used in logging and industrial operations. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to ensure all components are rebuilt and tested to meet high-performance standards.

What You’ll Do
As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Disassembling and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps, motors, rotary manifolds, and grapples

  • Inspecting hydraulic lines and components for leaks, damage, and wear

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Removing and replacing defective or worn components using precision tools and techniques

  • Assisting with testing and calibration of pumps and valves on the test bench (training provided)

  • Cleaning work areas and following oil spill and safety procedures to maintain a clean, organized shop

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience

  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Proficiency with pneumatic tools, hand tools, and measuring devices

  • Ability to lift and maneuver 40–50 lbs consistently

  • Ability to read and convert tape measurements to decimals accurately

  • Basic personal tools (hammer, screwdriver, socket set, etc.)

  • No certifications required
