CNC Machine Operator – 3rd Shift (Full-Time) | Charlotte, NC | $19/hr
Urgently Hiring a Full-Time CNC Machine Operator in Charlotte, NC for a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on 3rd shift Production Operator role with training provided on 1st shift before transitioning to nights.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site)
Shift: 3rd Shift – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Schedule Options: Sunday–Thursday or Thursday–Sunday
Start Date: ASAP
Job Responsibilities
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and supporting precision manufacturing equipment, including:

  • Operating CNC machines, MAAS lathes, surface grinders, centerless grinders, and polishers

  • Performing crystal fabrication and precision machining tasks

  • Selecting, setting up, and maintaining tools for assigned equipment

  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance

  • Reading and following technical work instructions and engineering blueprints

  • Inspecting parts to verify conformance to specifications and tolerances

  • Entering production data using the Shop Floor Control system

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area

  • Following ISO 9001 quality standards and EHS safety procedures
Qualifications
Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of CNC machine operation experience (milling or lathe preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and visual acuity (microscope inspection required)

  • Excellent manual dexterity for small, delicate components

  • Ability to work independently and follow written procedures

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel or willingness to learn)

  • Reliable attendance and consistent work history

  • Ability to train on 1st shift, then transition to 3rd shift

  • Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment

  • Materials used include methanol, acetone, and ammonium bi-fluoride solution
