Pay: $28.85 per hour / $60k annual salary
Hours: Seasonal variations; 50+ hours during April-October, regular 40 hours during the off-season, with opportunities for extended PTO during slower months.

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of a busy, seasonal farm retail market. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working with people, managing staff, and ensuring a positive customer and employee experience.

What You'll Do:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Creating schedules and supervising a retail staff of up to 12 employees.
  • Managing inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring proper product rotation.
  • Delivering professional and welcoming customer service that positively represents the farm.
  • Mentoring and training new hires and existing team members.
  • Overseeing cash register transactions, cash management, and general market operations.
  • Ensuring the market is organized and visually appealing to customers.

What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and retail sales.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of produce, agriculture, or plants is a plus.
